30.07.2019 CH Invest Restores a Population of Valuable Fish Species

On July 30, CH Invest conducted an environmental action – stocking of juvenile Atlantic salmon into natural water courses. The young fish were released under the control of the Northwest Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fishery and the fish breeding company Bioresource.

Atlantic salmon is one of the most valuable commercial fish species. Its industrial and amateur catch is carried out in the Pechora basin. Breeding fish in an artificial environment with subsequent stocking is an important way to maintain a population valuable to the region.

The release of juveniles was carried out under the control of the Northwest Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fishery. It was noted that CH Invest pays great attention to the environmental issues, especially with regard to such a fragile and important Arctic region. Despite the fact that the results of the action can be seen only in 3-4 years needed for fish breeding, it will save biodiversity and protect the aquatic ecosystem of the region.

Viktor Okorokov, CEO of CH Invest, pointed out that the company move forward: “Today we’ve held an important action aimed at restoration of aquatic bioresources. The volume of stocking is large, because our goal is not only to compensate for the impact of economic activity, but also to help the nature of the region in which we operate.”
